PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Zach Walker is the Business Development Manager for Pogue Construction. He is responsible for coordinating sales, marketing and public relations activities in an effort to establish long term relationships with current and future clients.
EDUCATION
Zach graduated from McKinney High School in 1998. He graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management.
PERSONAL DATA
Zach and his wife Paige were married in November 2004 and reside in Fort Worth, Texas. They have two daughters Blake and Kylie. His hobbies include snowboarding, running, and spending time with his family.
EXPERIENCE
Zach comes to Pogue Construction with over six years of professional sales and management experience in the construction field. After graduating from Texas Tech University in 2003, he began his career as a District Sales Representative for the Home Depot Division of Newell Rubbermaid covering Dallas/Fort Worth and West Texas. As a Sales Representative, Zach met and exceeded all production goals in a territory that included 36 stores and had a total sales volume of over $12 million. His consistent high performance resulted in an opportunity to work for another company division, Irwin Industrial Tools. With this assignment, he was responsible for converting key end users to Irwin from other brands. This was accomplished through job site visits as well as distributor partnerships. Continued success resulted in another promotion to a Territory Sales Management position with Irwin to maintain and build Industrial Construction accounts in Dallas/Fort Worth, Louisiana and Oklahoma. In 2003, Zach left Irwin Industrial Tools to work for a land development company, Insight Real Estate Strategies. As a project manager, he was tasked with managing the development and construction of a10-acre mixed use project in Keller.
GENERAL ACTIVITIES AND EXPERIENCE
· Certified Residential Superintendent through the National Association of Home Builders
· Certified Green Professional through the National Association of Home Builders
· Served on the Student Senate at Texas Tech University for the College of Business Administration 1999-2003
· Served on the Chancellor's Council at Texas Tech from 2000-2003
· Served as President of Phi Gamma Delta, Texas Tech Chapter from 2001-2002
